Visit Dr. Bethune's childhood home and cruise the lake on a Real Muskoka Steamship. Drive, or ride the Ontario Northland train, Westover's are just blocks away from the Train Station (2hrs. Toronto Union Station to Gravenhurst, we'll pick you up at the station !!) www.ontarionorthland.ca . We are located in mid-town Gravenhurst, walking distance to it all. Stroll the tree lined streets to Bethune House, Muskoka Wharf, Steamboat Cruises, and the Heritage Centre. Visit the Farmer's market every wednesday from 9 to 2 p.m. Relax and enjoy our 1870's home. Your stay includes breakfast served in our antique dining room after 8 a.m. Ask about joining us for dinner, which can be arranged ($27.50 per person added to room rate; bring your own wine). Or let us know if you are celebrating an anniversary or other special occasion and we'll arrange a private sitting and special menu. Price depending on menu selection. Allow 48 hr. notice. Call us to discuss. We can also arrange reservations at a local restaurant for your special day. We want to help you celebrate. This room is bright and spacious with its big bay window overlooking Bay Street. The sun fills this room in the morning. Evenings, relax in the romantic four poster bed with chic white linens, and air conditioned comfort. 27" TV/DVD; huge marble ensuite with walk-in shower. 2 night minimum bookings are preferred on weekends during July and August.
This lovely room has two antique twin beds with new mattresses. These can be set up as a very comfortable King Bed with kingsize linens. The room has room darkening shades.
You'll love the privacy in this cozy room tucked away at the back of the house with Pine Cannonball Queen bed. Located next to a full washroom and the back staircase. Secret Passage and Twin rooms share the full bath if both are booked. We offer guest robes, hairdryers, bottled water and an iron on request. If we are in the garden when you call, just wait for the message machine, leave a message with your number and we'll get back to you. You can also reach us by emailing: fcw@sympatico.ca RING THE DOOR BELL when you arrive. Take your shoes off and relax, you're in your home away from home! Check-in between 3:20 PM and 5:00 P.M., check out by 11:00 AM, early/late check-in by arrangement only. | Directions: From Toronto, take Highway 400 north to Barrie and then Highway 11 North to Gravenhurst. Exit at Bethune Drive and turn left at Brock/Bay/Highway 169. Brock turns into Bay Street when you cross Muskoka Road (the main street in town). Bay Street eventually turns into highway 169. | ||||||
