About our Bed & BreakfastYour comforting home away from home in Bracebridge - Spirit Bear Bed & Breakfast is in a church that has carefully been renovated into a beautiful and spacious home, located in a quiet residential neighbourhood, but central to downtown Bracebridge. The frame Primitive Methodist Church was built in 1845, and purchased by The First Baptist Church at Bracebridge in 1887. In 1892 the building was bricked, and in in 1936, an addition was built at the back. The building functioned as a church until 1989. Since that time the church was converted to a home, and in 2007, to a bed and breakfast. Opened May 2013, we now offer "The Cottage" - a family suite located in the bright and spacious lower level of the house. It is perfect for families with children or for couples who want a bit more privacy. It has all the special amenities that our guest are accustomed to but also includes a large bedroom with Queen bed, ensuite washroom, a living room with a futon, an electric fireplace, and an equipped kitchen. Perfect for those who would like to stay several days and make their own meals. Upon request, a continental breakfast can be provided. Comfortably sleeps 4-5 people. Children welcome. Breakfast is served in the Great Room daily between 8:00 and 9:30 am, and includes hot and cold selections, fresh seasonal, and when possible, locally-grown produce. We offer a daily special along with a basket of freshly-baked goodies each morning. Complimentary cold beverages are available at all times. Please advise us of any dietary needs or allergies, and we can accommodate you.

| Directions: From the South - Drive North on Hwy 400 to Hwy 11 to Exit 182 onto Hwy 118, following directions to Bracebridge. Turn Right at the first set of traffic lights onto Ecclestone Dr. Continue along Ecclestone about 4km to a four way stop. Turn left onto Ontario, then Right onto Dominion. Quebec St. is the first street on the left, after the firehall. We are at number 67. From the North - Drive South on Hwy 11 to Exit 189. Follow the signs to Bracebridge.
