About our Bed & BreakfastIf you enjoy peace and tranquillity you will find yourself blending right in with the indoors and outdoors. Every effort has been made to leave untouched the surrounding forest with its seasonally changing flora and fauna. A rocky footpath leads to a cove on the Moon River where you may swim or relax on the dock seating area and observe fish, fowl, turtles and dragonflies to name a few of the creatures that naturally love their environment. Footprints is located four kilometres west of Bala where the water makes its way from Lake Muskoka to the Moon River. Bala is a must-see scenic village with quaint shops in the summer and a pristine sleepy appearance in winter. There are three guest bedrooms and a rustic bunkie which is a short distance from the house: The Sunshine Room, decorated with a hint of Europe, has 4 twin/2 king beds, 2 piece bathroom, shared shower and hot tub just outside the house. The Bloom Room has a double bed, pedestal sink in room, bathroom beside room, as well as a screened porch to enjoy the serenity of the forest. The Rustic Bunkie has 2 narrow bunkbeds and a quaintly designed outside facility. Surrounding the house are cedar decks with Muskoka chairs to relax in. The privacy of this home permits an excellent opportunity for strolling on the gravelled areas. Breakfasts range from sweet to savoury, always aiming to please the palate. Ours is a Smoke free home. No guest pets, please. No pets in the home. |
